Harry Cobden on his Friday Aintree rides: 'I do think Talk To The Man is better than his mark' Paddy Power brand ambassador Harry Cobden has spoken about his rides on Friday at Aintree on the latest From The Horse’s Mouth podcast, including trainer Paul Nicholls putting him on Talk To The Man instead of No Drama This End in the Grade 1 Sefton Novices’ Hurdle (4.40pm). Harry is leaving Nicholls at the end of the season to become retained rider to top owner JP McManus, and some have already renamed No Drama This End ‘Some Drama This End’ after the news broke that he would be riding Talk To The Man instead in Liverpool, and he was asked on the podcast for his verdict. You’re eye-catchingly on Talk To The Man rather than No Drama This End in the Sefton Novices' Hurdle, enlighten us, Harry? Yeah I went and rode out for Paul yesterday, he was keen for me to ride Talk To The Man. If I’m completely honest it probably wouldn’t have been the one that I would have picked, but I didn’t have the choice in the matter so yeah we’re just going along with it. But it’s obviously a competitive race, but I do think Talk To The Man is better than his mark and he’s a fresh horse going into the race so I think he’s got a big chance. Talk To The Man doesn’t need super soft does he? No I don’t think so, look obviously No Drama This End is proven that he’s already a better horse isn’t he? I just feel that the horse that I’m riding could be a little bit better than we’ve seen. Or I’m hoping that anyway!
