Wed, 3rd Jun, 2026  I’m delighted for Kerri, it’s the first winner in her colours. She rides him out every day,. He’s been a slow burner, he’s had his issues. He’s just a pet. The idea was to run him away, and he’ll go up and down the handicap, and have a bit of fun with him. Sure it would be bad manners not to go over and enjoy the Ebor if he’s alive and well. It’s all about going up and down the handicaps. When the horses are running bad they get dropped, it’s hard work when they are running bad but there is always a turn. He just lost it last year and he looked like he had given up. He’s the slowest horse in the yard by a trillion miles! I never know how he is going to run but Colin said it’s the best he’s ever felt. After race at Roscommon Tue, 20th Aug, 2024 (1st)  it's a super result, the horse is very green and will only improve. He wouldn't want the ground to be as deep as that. He'll be a beautiful horse next year, that's what we're looking forward to; when he strengthens up, he'll be a horse. I don't know how busy he'll be this year as it's all about next year. .most importantly it's a great result for the owner/breeder John Keaney; he owned Yavana's Pace and she's in the pedigree. We're delighted for William Flood as well, who stands Poet's Word as he is a long time family friend. G M Lyons
