Dundalk Fri, 2nd Oct, 2026  Kerdos Exactly (arriving off a fast pace over five furlong suits him well) - he was very good at the July meeting (in Dundalk), we tucked him in from a wide draw and he stuck to the task fairly well. Applied a set of blinkers that day and it seemed to do the trick. Ran back up for the August meeting (in Dundalk) and we got no show out of him at all over the six-furlong trip. Maybe he just had an off day. We said we would take our chance here tonight. Obviously, Sir Les Patterson was the main one, but we knew this horse was a five-furlong specialist. We gave him a nice little break since the August meeting and freshened him up. It has certainly done the trick. That is Reese's first ride for me and we have been keeping an eye on him over the last while. I think he just lost his 7lb (claim) during the week, but he still looks very good value there even for the 5lb. He is a young lad that we will be keen to support. The other horse (Sir Les Patterson) was a little unlucky in-running. Jack (Kearney) was a little bit annoyed coming back in, but that is just racing. We have both entries made for the Mercury and more than likely we will bring them here in a couple of weeks time, and take it from there.

Cork Wed, 9th Sep, 2026  Tokyo Treasure He deserves that after being narrowly beaten in Gowran and, at Roscommon the last day, we thought the seven-and-a-half furlongs caught him. We dropped him in distance today, he has the early speed for six (furlongs) and we'll keep him at that now. That's my first winner for Jim Browne's son Ben, so I'm delighted to get it. The horse might be for sale, but I'd love to keep him for as long as possible and, if he isn't sold, he could go for a handicap in the Curragh next.

Navan Sat, 5th Sep, 2026  Moltophino He was unlucky in the big sprint in the Curragh (Rockingham) over five (furlongs) earlier in the year. I'd say that is a good filly, Bear On The Run, of Danny Murphy's that beat him the last day over six (furlongs) in the Curragh. I'd say she is a Listed filly, and I always thought that horse might be a Listed horse. He was down to a weight and a mark where he should be winning. I thought he would win today. He goes with a bit of dig in it, and we might go for the Joe McGrath (Curragh) maybe.

Gowran Park Wed, 12th Aug, 2026  Rock Of Claremont He did it well. He's a horse that's improved with every run. He needed the extra furlong, the way he was coming home at Dundalk. He's a big horse and he just took the time to develop. He did it quite nicely and, when Billy got to the front, he wasn't doing an awful lot so hopefully that means he has more in the tank. He's still a big baby and the cheekpieces just helped him focus.

Roscommon Tue, 30th Jun, 2026  La La Lucrative I’m delighted with that. They went a fair gallop and he came there travelling well and stuck at it well,. He got a few bumps as well. I’m delighted for his owners, Shay and Kathleen Gillen.

Limerick Fri, 19th Jun, 2026  Carvalhal he had run a little better than I expected here last week so I was delighted that this race came up, as it stood out as suiting him with the furlong extra. I wasn’t overly worried about today’s ground and he coped with it. I’d like to give much thanks to Henry and Dymphna Holdcroft and Tony McLoughlin, who are the owners and are great supporters. We bought this horse for 4,000gns so it is great when it worked out and we got a few issues sorted last year. He seems more comfortable and relaxed going racing now. Nicola is learning a lot in Ger Lyons’, she is in there every morning and loves it down there. She has gone fast enough in getting to her 5lb claim and there are a lot of good apprentices out there, so it had become very competitive. As long as she is enjoying it and if that’s what she wants to do, we’ll support her and she is a big asset to me.

Fairyhouse Fri, 5th Jun, 2026  I'm Spartacus He gave him a good ride, we probably just weren’t positive enough on him last week,. He’s well down on the grass compared to the all-weather, he has very good all-weather form, so he was entitled to win off his mark. I was getting a bit worried because he wasn’t winning on the grass. He had a couple of half decent runs, but just wasn’t winning. It’s great for Paddy (McKeever), a former all-Ireland winner with Armagh. He’s away at the moment and is just on the way back home. Hopefully we can collect somewhere again with him.

Gowran Park Mon, 1st Jun, 2026  Thrifty Of Digby She’s some tough, brave, filly. She wasn’t going to get beaten, she kept on putting her head down. They took her on early on as well. She really is great. She only got it on the nod and for once it’s gone the right way for me!. She’s actually in the online sale, but we might keep her now. She loves Roscommon and here, and she goes from seven furlongs to a mile-and-a-quarter. There might be another day in her but she’s getting her rating up now.

Listowel Sun, 31st May, 2026  La La Lucrative he had has a break and came back in good old form. Robbie (Colgan) said the ground and track suited him and he settled away in behind the leaders. I was hoping he’d run well and it worked out ideally. He wasn’t really settling last year but he settled today. We’ll go for something similar again next.
