Gowran Park Wed, 12th Aug, 2026  Rock Of Claremont He did it well. He's a horse that's improved with every run. He needed the extra furlong, the way he was coming home at Dundalk. He's a big horse and he just took the time to develop. He did it quite nicely and, when Billy got to the front, he wasn't doing an awful lot so hopefully that means he has more in the tank. He's still a big baby and the cheekpieces just helped him focus.

Roscommon Tue, 30th Jun, 2026  La La Lucrative I’m delighted with that. They went a fair gallop and he came there travelling well and stuck at it well,. He got a few bumps as well. I’m delighted for his owners, Shay and Kathleen Gillen.

Limerick Fri, 19th Jun, 2026  Carvalhal he had run a little better than I expected here last week so I was delighted that this race came up, as it stood out as suiting him with the furlong extra. I wasn’t overly worried about today’s ground and he coped with it. I’d like to give much thanks to Henry and Dymphna Holdcroft and Tony McLoughlin, who are the owners and are great supporters. We bought this horse for 4,000gns so it is great when it worked out and we got a few issues sorted last year. He seems more comfortable and relaxed going racing now. Nicola is learning a lot in Ger Lyons’, she is in there every morning and loves it down there. She has gone fast enough in getting to her 5lb claim and there are a lot of good apprentices out there, so it had become very competitive. As long as she is enjoying it and if that’s what she wants to do, we’ll support her and she is a big asset to me.

Fairyhouse Fri, 5th Jun, 2026  I'm Spartacus He gave him a good ride, we probably just weren’t positive enough on him last week,. He’s well down on the grass compared to the all-weather, he has very good all-weather form, so he was entitled to win off his mark. I was getting a bit worried because he wasn’t winning on the grass. He had a couple of half decent runs, but just wasn’t winning. It’s great for Paddy (McKeever), a former all-Ireland winner with Armagh. He’s away at the moment and is just on the way back home. Hopefully we can collect somewhere again with him.

Gowran Park Mon, 1st Jun, 2026  Thrifty Of Digby She’s some tough, brave, filly. She wasn’t going to get beaten, she kept on putting her head down. They took her on early on as well. She really is great. She only got it on the nod and for once it’s gone the right way for me!. She’s actually in the online sale, but we might keep her now. She loves Roscommon and here, and she goes from seven furlongs to a mile-and-a-quarter. There might be another day in her but she’s getting her rating up now.

Listowel Sun, 31st May, 2026  La La Lucrative he had has a break and came back in good old form. Robbie (Colgan) said the ground and track suited him and he settled away in behind the leaders. I was hoping he’d run well and it worked out ideally. He wasn’t really settling last year but he settled today. We’ll go for something similar again next.

Gowran Park Wed, 20th May, 2026  Gloriously Glam She's after winning a couple of these and is a gamey little filly. She's had a couple of good runs this year and is there to be claimed. She'll be a real fun filly. She won a good fillies race last year and was entitled to fight out the finish. I thought McAuley's horse (Independent Expert) was really the one to beat but she was game and she fought well. The boys bought her in an online sale last year out of Jessie's and she's after winning three for them so happy days. If she goes, she goes; if she doesn't, we'll rattle on to a couple of them fillies’ races. Hopefully I can get one down here because she loves this place.

Roscommon Mon, 18th May, 2026  Thrifty Of Digby She loves Roscommon, she just loves it around here, and she was back in that grade,. She’s very game and genuine, gets out in front and just gallops away. We’ll try and find something else for her now, she’s got four wins now and been placed four times. She’s as genuine as anything.
