He just missed a piece of work during the week because the grass was so soft so I said to Shane to drop him in, get him to relax early and then hopefully play him late. He got a beautiful run, he gave him a great ride, and just got there in the last couple of strides. He's a horse that loves the all-weather and he's a gentleman to have anything to do with. It's just nice to get the year going. There are a few more races coming along for him. There might be something at the all-weather championships for him in Newcastle.

We said we would test the waters over seven furlongs because there was no race for him until mid-February and he was in ripping form. I was keen to get him back out and obviously he loves the surface. He has been a remarkable horse the last couple of months for us and is flying the flag. We are thinking about going to the Good Friday meeting in Newcastle for a couple of our horses and I think a stiff mile would suit Instant Appeal. We have an eye on a race and maybe he’ll have a prep run, possibly over a mile here on February 20. He's very lightly raced and, in fairness, he presented to us in great shape. We bought him in an online sale and I think these online sales will become more prevalent in the future because not everyone can get to see these horses or get to the sales. It was good timing for the sellers and also for us. The lads are having great enjoyment and fun.

He's a wonderful horse. We had him last year and we always loved him. He has just been a little bit frustrating, and he has done very little wrong, to be fair to him. He won first time out and then was touched off in a couple of races. His training was a little bit interrupted from silly things between ground and pulled muscles here and there. He is owned by some great people, and they are very patient and have been very good to us. We are delighted for them. He'll go on his holidays now. He deserves it as he has been on the go a while. It is a difficult thing to do, win a handicap off 98. It is a tough thing to do. He travels really well, doesn't kill himself when he gets there. I can't wait to step him up in trip. I just think if he puts himself to sleep in races, he has got a good turn of foot, and he might be difficult to beat over a mile and a-quarter. He won't go any further than that. He's just a lovely horse and I'd say he will probably end up competing in Listed and Group races.
