Curragh Sat, 23rd May, 2026  Perry Mason I’m delighted. He’s due that and he was knocking on the door in some big premier handicaps. He gave me my first winner here last year. I’m training exactly 12 months and he’s been good to me. I have a couple of jumpers but I like the Flat. We had to move out of Cork because of rapeseed and I’m based in Kildare for the last four or five weeks. It affected us big time. They came out of it, but there are still a few that wouldn’t be right and we had to let them off. I’m right next to Kildangan Stud. We have good facilities, a swimming pool and a deep Wexford sand gallop. We have use of all the Curragh gallops, which is gold. I’ve 14 in training and looking for more. There are plenty of empty boxes and plenty of horses there for people to get involved with. I bought this lad in Tattersalls last July for 3,500gns. He had a real good maiden run against good horses. I went to look at him and said ‘he’s coming home’.

Curragh Sat, 28th Mar, 2026  Perry Mason He was probably a bit too far back in the Lincoln, we were a bit disappointed, but it probably crowned him for today. We’ll probably step him up now into a better class. He might come back for the mile-and-a-quarter race here next Friday. This place is good to me, I had my first winner here as well last year. It’s a lucky place. It’s nice to have a Saturday horse, that’s the dream really, and hopefully we have one in him. I have 15 riding out and it’ll be a busy campaign. We’ll probably aim for the Galway Mile with him, he has won around there and that would be the plan.
