Formscan By Donal Murphy - BLAKE finished well ahead of Davy Crockett when they clashed at the Dublin Racing Festival and on better terms now, the Noel Meade-trained former should be able to confirm his superiority. Narrowly beaten in the Royal Bond on his penultimate start, the selection is the highest rated runner in the line-up. Unbeaten in three starts prior to that Leopardstown effort, the aforementioned Davy Crockett still warrants the utmost respect, while it'll be interesting to see how Le Labo fares. Falling at the last when appearing set to score at Cork in December, he steps up in class now. Narrowly beaten into second on recent starts at Navan and Punchestown respectively, Lazare De Star is sure to have plenty of supporters and it'll be disappointing if he's not involved towards the business end.

He jumped so slick for a horse having just his second run over hurdles,. He looks sharp, and I can see him improving for the rest of the season and hopefully he can go up in grade. Tipperary will probably come a bit soon for him and we could look at the Royal Bond. La Note Verte ran well and finished fourth. The ground might be a bit soft for her.

To be honest, they nearly had to give it to him. You can't stop them to that degree, can you? He absolutely stopped him and he's a big, long-striding horse. If you're riding a bike and you're stopped, it's very hard to get going again that quickly. It's a nice pot to win and he'll run in the maiden hurdle at Down Royal on Saturday week. That's the plan. He jumps great and we're looking forward to him heading over hurdles.

He is a grand horse and Pat (Morrissey, owner/breeder) sold his two half-brothers, one of which Twinjets won a chase by 10 lengths for Paul Nicholls the other day. Pat wanted to hang on to this horse and chasing is his game, as you see by the size of him,. We thought he wasn't right in Listowel when the ground was too quick for him, so we were confident we'd reverse form with That Danny Feeling. We knew he'd go on the heavy ground as we ran him on pure muck in a schooling bumper one day in Tipperary. . We think going up to three miles will suit, he is a nice horse and Pat wants to keep him, which is handier. He is in a long time but we will keep him going now, having won a maiden hurdle. He has been schooled over fences as a three-year-old and is brilliant to jump. He'll tip away over hurdles this season.
