Formscan By Mark Nunan - CAPTAINS SPEECH won a point-to-point on testing ground in 2024, and then had a long spell on the sidelines before finishing second over 2m4f at Cork in March. He was miles clear of the third when again finding one too good over that trip at Wexford, and is taken to get off the mark now with this greater test of stamina set to suit. Quest For Answers was bought for 170,000 pounds after an impressive point-to-point victory in November and is an intriguing addition to Mouse Morris' stable. The Rebel Fox shaped well on Rules debut when a never-nearer fifth over 2m3f at Naas.

He's a lovely horse by Martaline who's my favourite stallion. He was badly wrong in Punchestown. I went there because he was a good horse but he scoped wrong afterwards. My horses were suffering from the rape at the time. I had a bad dose of it and a lot of horses that ran bad have run well since, so that gave me confidence that this fellow would go well. He's a beautiful big galloping horse. John (Gleeson) said there was going to be no pace, so I said you're on a big galloping horse with a big stride, so on you go and keep it simple. He'll probably end up needing a trip when he goes hurdling.
