Permission was given for BALON D’OR to be mounted in the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood; for South Shore (GB) to go early to post and for Winter Crown (GB), Hallowed Time (IRE) and Sarafina Mshairi (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Mason Paetel, the rider of B Associates (IRE) was unseated shortly after leaving the stalls.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and the incident had been caused by Paetel losing his iron as the gates opened causing him to become unbalanced and as a result, he became unseated.
B Associates (IRE) was deemed to be a runner, as it was very clearly mounted when the start was effected.
Following the race, Callum Hutchinson reported that Red Walls (GB), unplaced, was carried wide on the first bend by the loose horse.
