Permission was given for Riot (IRE) and Starshiba (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Leaving the stalls, Aljari (GB), placed fifth, jumped left-handed bumping Follow Your Heart (IRE), placed second, which in turn lugged left-handed tightening up both Lessay (IRE), placed third, and Starshiba (GB), unplaced, for racing room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend involving, Billy Mill (GB), unplaced, ridden by Lewis Edmunds and Thapa VC (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jack Mitchell.
Robert Havlin, the rider of Aljari (GB), placed fifth, was also interviewed but found not to be involved.
The interference was found to be accidental as a free-running Thapa VC (IRE) was hampered when briefly short of room inside Billy Mill (GB), which had edged marginally left-handed.
Following the race, Jack Mitchell reported that Thapa VC (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run approaching and inside the final furlong.
