Following the race, Adam Wedge reported that Ideallko (FR), placed second, made a mistake at the fourth last fence and hung left-handed thereafter.
The winner, Yes And Yes (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Leicester on 13 February 2025 where the gelding finished fourth of eight runners, beaten by 24 ¾ lengths on ground officially described as Soft, Heavy in places.
