The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately four and a half furlongs from home involving Jetovango, ridden by E. Walsh, unplaced, Mister Frostie, ridden by J.P. O'Sullivan, unplaced, Stickman, ridden by A. McCurtin, unplaced, and Tippawan Haa, ridden by J. Smith, placed sixth, where it appeared Jetovango clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. E. Walsh stated that his race was run, was unable to hold his position and was retreating when things got a bit tight. J. P. O'Sullivan stated that it was general bunching as horses leaned in on the bend. A. McCurtin stated that he maintained his line. J. Smith stated that his mount was very green but that the two horses on the outside maintained their line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind J. P. O'Sullivan to be more mindful of horses on his inner dropping away
G.B. Noonan, rider of Tinking Man, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left.
