That’s his third win around Punchestown and he’s won five now with five different jockeys. He gave him a great ride and is some value for 3lb. He didn’t travel well and was hunting him several times. He’s a tricky ride. Zorcha Wentworth is a great owner and is very patient.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lisnagar Fortune, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from T.M. Walsh, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Hardwired, placed first, as compared with its recent form. T. M. Walsh stated that a drop back in trip on a track where he has won twice before coupled with everything falling right for him today had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given
K.C. Sexton, rider of Antrim Coast, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference on the bend from the winner. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards (140 = 11st 12lbs)
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
