Permission was given for Hot Like Me (IRE) and Inquisition (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Approaching 2 furlongs out, Beachborough Girl (GB), unplaced, dropped back quickly shifting left- handed, making contact with the winner, Sahana (GB), causing the filly to become tightened for room and then in turn causing Beachborough Girl (GB) to become unbalanced but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Dovey Moon (GB), placed fifth, was lame on its left fore.
The Stewards enquired to consider the circumstances surrounding an altercation in the Stable yard before the start of racing.
Having interviewed an Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer, the Racecourse Stable Manager, Trainer-Conrad Allen and a member of his staff, the matter was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
