THE JCB MINI-EXCAVATOR NOVICES' LIMITED HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 5) Permission was given for El Arco (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the circumstances surrounding a member of grounds staff being on the track as the runners were going out onto the second circuit.
The Clerk of the Course and Head Groundsman was interviewed.
After hearing their evidence, a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
The winner, Kampari (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Sedgefield on 19 March 2026, where the gelding finished seventh of eleven runners, beaten 32 ¾ lengths.
Laura Horsfall’s explanation that the gelding had benefitted from the step up in trip from 2 miles 4 furlongs to 3 miles 2 furlongs, was noted.
Kampari (FR) was routine tested.
