- Stewards Report

Permission was given for Mary (IRE), Window Of Time (IRE) and Pomeriggio (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Tankardstown Diva (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jack Andrews, Quick Of The Night (GB), placed third, ridden by Lee Edwards, Belle Montrose (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Benjamin Macey, LILOO D’ORES (FR), placed fifth, ridden by Jack Hogan, Window Of Time (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Bowen and Pomeriggio (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ben Poste.
All riders were interviewed and shown recordings of the race.
Jack Andrews’ instructions were to sit close to the pace.
He explained his mount was travelling as well as it could and always felt that the winner would come back to the field and that he was only staying on at the one pace in the closing stages; Lee Edwards’ instructions were to be positive and felt that he was in top gear from a long way out having sat handy from midway.
Bejamin Macey was instructed to drop his mare in to try and switch off and get her to settle as it was her first time back over hurdles and over this trip.
He made an effort down the back straight but felt his mare failed to finish its race off, despite being held up early on.
He added that he was conscious that if he had made an effort too early, he would have lit Belle Montrose (IRE) up too soon.
Jack Hogan rode his mare to finish but felt it was in top gear the whole way and failed to finish its race.
Sean Bowen’s stated that Window Of Time (IRE) was reluctant to line up at the start and that as it had been very keen in its previous races, therefore he wanted to drop her in to settle.
He added that she had also failed to finish her race off, despite being held up.
Ben Poste’s instructions were to ride his filly to get the trip, as it had never run over that distance before but felt that it failed to finish its race off well.
None of the riders felt that if they had ridden their mounts more prominently, they would have finished their races off any better.
Their explanations were noted.
The winner, Mary (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Stratford on Avon on 20 July 2025, where the mare finished fifth of six runners, beaten 45 ½ lengths on Going described as Good, Good to Firm (in places).
Ian Williams’ explanation that Mary (IRE) had benefited from an uncontested lead and from the Going, although officially described the same as its last start, he felt was it was riding quicker on this occasion was noted.
Mary (IRE) was routine tested.
