Curragh Mon, 4th May, 2026  Summer Island He was in good form coming here and, he came out of his Bellewstown race very well. The ground was probably a little bit soft for him the last day, good ground here today suited him better. Paddy gave him a nice even ride, very straightforward. He picked up nicely and,galloped to the line. Hopefully, he'll be consistent in his grade, or even if he goes up a little bit, he'll still be consistent throughout the season for the owners.

Curragh Sun, 19th Apr, 2026  Merisi Diamond The three weeks probably just freshened him up. We ran him back three times quickly enough because we were afraid the ground might go on him. He did a nice piece of work during the week. Billy said the cheekpieces helped him in the middle of the race. He’s probably getting a little bit cuter with age. He’s a good steady handicapper and you’d be hoping there might be another good pot in him someday. It’ll be ground dependent. Today was the plan, we’ve nothing else in the calendar and we’ll see what the weather does. If it gets better he might go on a little break. Joanna (Morgan) gave me the chance with the horse. She got hurt earlier in the year and rang me to go collect him in the field. It’s brilliant because if I have any problems I give her a bell and there is great knowledge from her. I have to thank her for giving me the chance with him.

Dundalk Fri, 6th Feb, 2026  Summer Island he has been very straightforward since he joined our yard and his work has been solid. Based on his work, we thought he was probably a little bit better than his current handicap mark. We were pretty confident that he was going to deliver a nice performance today. He is genuine, very honest and hopefully can give the owners a good bit of fun. He has been a solid enough performer for his previous yard, and hopefully he can step forward again. We will see what the handicapper does, but I'd say he will have no problem on all-weather or good ground on turf. He should be a nice, solid handicapper. we have been watching Reese (Holohan) riding his winners here and he looks very valuable for his 7lb claim. Hopefully, we can get him again on the likes of these handicappers.
