Leaving the stalls, Kildonan (IRE), placed fourth, jumped sharply left-handed causing its rider to become unbalanced and lose his left iron for a period of time, resulting in Kildonan (IRE) becoming detached from the field.
Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Mckenna (IRE), hung right-handed despite the rider’s best efforts to correct his mount, slightly impeding Blue Seeker (IRE), placed third.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Mckenna (IRE).
