THE MIDNITE A NEXT GENERATION BETTING APP HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 3) The sponsorship in relation to Spring Is Sprung (FR), trained by Paul Midgley, did not comply with the Sponsorship Code of Conduct.
Midgley was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that the correct sponsorship is carried.
Approaching 3 furlongs out, the winner, Gaeli (ITY), who was running keenly, lugged right-handed moving Fivethousandtoone (IRE), placed second, slightly off its intended line.
This in turn caused Pilgrim (GB), unplaced, to be tightened for room and as result left Baldomero (IRE), placed fifth, short of room on rail.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Gaeli (ITY).
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, the weakening Mon Na Slieve (IRE), unplaced, hung quickly left- handed causing Pilgrim (GB), unplaced, to be check and its rider to take back which in turn caused Equality (GB), unplaced, to be moved off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Sean Kirrane reported that Fivethousandtoone (IRE), placed second, suffered interference approaching 3 furlongs out and again 1 ½ furlongs out.
Lewis Edmunds reported that Pilgrim (GB), unplaced, suffered interference 1 ½ furlongs out.
Joanna Mason reported that Baldomero (IRE), placed fifth, suffered interference approaching 3 furlongs out and again 1 ½ furlongs out.
