The Raceday Stewards interviewed Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, prior to race six, concerning the late request to substitute J.M. Sheridan with D. Browne McMonagle on Celtic Motif. Evidence was heard from the trainer who apologised for the lateness of the request, and stated that it was an error on his part as his regular representative would have requested the sustitution at scales on arrival. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the substitution

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.W. O'Connor, rider of Benevento, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. D.W. O'Connor accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found D.W. O'Connor was in breach of R.10.3(g) (frequency) and in considering his record (third offence) they suspended him for eight racedays
