Permission was given for Mimikyu (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Queens Ballet (GB) to be led to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference in the final furlong when the winner, Mimikyu (GB) ridden by Robert Havlin, interfered with Time Lock (GB), placed second, ridden by William Buick.
The Stewards considered that the interference was minimal and had not improved the placing of Mimikyu (GB) as she always appeared to be holding Time Lock (GB) and the ground and momentum lost by Time Lock (GB) was less than the official distance of a neck at the line.
Havlin was cautioned for careless riding as although the filly hung quickly left initially, he continued to use his whip in his right hand when the filly was always tending to shift left.
Following the race P J McDonald reported that Queens Ballet (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
