They were over two and a half mile and two miles one whereas today's assignment is two miles. There was plenty of merit in those two runs which show him to be in good heart. Although he has been nudged up another 2lbs to 114, David Mullins takes off a more than handy 5lbs. Cliff House runs in a handicap for the first time and looks to have plenty on his plate carrying 11-9. He was an impressive winner of a Gowran Park maiden hurdle before disappointing in the Munster Hurdle at Clonmel. That was over half a mile further so he could bounce back to form over two miles here. Galway maiden hurdle winner Dandridge put in a good effort when staying on for third at Leopardstown last-time out. He came home a length and a half behind Sir Scorpion and is particularly dangerous off a rating of 113 for Arthur Moore and David Casey. Solita is not without a chance at a good price. In 2014 she accrued three wins and two runner-up spots. She should strip fitter for her comeback run in Leopardstown last month and has won at this track before.

An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards (140 = 11st 10lb)
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each hurdle race won. Any horse rated above 140 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 140 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four year old rated above 140 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
