Beef Or Salmon The Main Choice On Cheltenham Menu

Beef Or Salmon has been the subject of some major support, for the Totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup. Michael Horrigans 10 year old, who looked in great shape when winning the Irish Hennessy last week, was trimmed half a point by bookmakers William Hill and is now the 9-2 favourite (from 5) for the Cheltenham showpiece.

At Market Rasen, Orcadian did his Cheltenham credentials no harm when winning the Betfred We Pay Double Result Maiden Hurdle, by one length. The five year old now trades at 33-1 (from 50) for both the Supreme Novice´s Hurdle and the Royal And Sun Alliance Novice´s Hurdle.

Looking ahead to the flat season, there was some interest in Aiden O´Briens Fire And Rain. The three year old, owned by Michael Tabor, was last seen in action when winning a two year old Maiden at Newmarket and has been inserted at 33-1 for the Vodafone Derby.
