D'Ainay Poised For Rendlesham Return
Crystal D'Ainay is set to take his chance in the Grade Two Rendlesham Hurdle at Haydock on Thursday.
Alan King's seven-year-old won the race last year at Kempton and is now being primed for another crack at the extended three-mile contest ? despite competing over fences on his last two outings.
King told the Racing Post: 'Crystal d'Ainay is an intended runner in the Rendlesham.
'He's very well and has been running creditably over fences, but we're sending him back over hurdles to see if we should aim for the World Hurdle at Cheltenham.
'He won't mind the ground or the course at Haydock.'
Crystal D'Ainay is currently a best price of 33-1 to win the World Hurdle with sponsors Ladbrokes.
