Geraghty Keen On Past
Barry Geraghty believes Forget The Past has every chance of making his presence felt in the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup on Friday week.
Geraghty will partner Michael O'Brien's eight-year-old, who is unbeaten in his last two starts, in the blue riband at Prestbury Park instead of 2005 Gold Cup hero Kicking King.
And despite the latter's tendon injury depriving him of the chance to defend his crown, Geraghty is convinced he has an able deputy in last week's Bobbyjo Chase winner.
'Michael O'Brien's horses have been a little off this season but he (Forget The Past) has just come right on his last few runs (at Gowran and Fairyhouse),' Geraghty told At The Races.
'He's rated 155 and he's not a long way off some of the top lads in it, so he has to have a shout.'
Forget The Past is a best-priced 22-1 with William Hill.
