Meade runs two in Cheltenham Bumper

Noel Meade will be doubly represented in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper by Corskeagh Royale and Cottage Oak.

Corskeagh Royale, a 10-1 chance with Paddy Power, has won the latest two of his three career starts including an impressive eight length victory over Lord Over in a Grade Two at Navan in December.

Both of these victories came on ground with a bit of cut in it and Meade said: "I wouldn´t fear good ground and he´s shown that he handles soft ground well. I wouldn´t want firm ground, but they won´t get that anyway.

"I like him a lot and he is a nice horse, who I am sure will be a chaser. He jumps very well and has been well schooled.

"Nina will probably ride one of my two, and she has won on him so she probably will ride him."

Cottage Oak, a 25-1 shot with Paddy Power, is unbeaten in two runs last November at Down Royal and Cork.

The trainer said: "He is a pretty useful horse as well and goes on good ground too. He won very easily first time and easily at Cork. We have kept him for this race."
