Willie Mullins today reported Quevega on course for Cheltenham despite currently suffering from “ a bit of a cold”.
The star mare is set to bid for an astonishing fifth successive victory in the Mares Hurdle at the festival.
“She's in good form and has done some very nice work,” Mullins told Attheraces this morning.
“I'm pleased enough with her. She's had a little bit of a cold this week and had an easy week but will be back in full action next week.”
Mullins also gave a positive bulletin about Hurricane Fly, who will bid to reclaim his Champion Hurdle crown.
“He's in good form at the moment and I'm pleased enough with him. He's definitely the best hurdler I've trained.
“He looks back to himself and if I can keep him in that kind of form I'll be happy enough.”
One horse that Mullins has a soft spot for is Pont Alexandre, currently favourite for the Neptune Novices Hurdle.
“The potential in him is so good. He's won a Grade One over hurdles and looks a chaser. That's what I like about him – the potential is there with him over the next few years.”
