Cheltenham issue travel warning

Cheltenham have issued an advisory to patrons preparing to travel to the Festival meeting next week.

In a statement the racecourse have told people not to travel to the meeting if displaying any of the symptoms associated with the Coronavirus or if they have been in high risk countries.

Betfair's latest market on the Festival going ahead has Yes at 1.38 (4/11) with No at 3.55 (5/2).

The trader's are less optimistic of Aintree going ahead however with Yes trading at 2.6 and No currently odds on at 1.6.

The following is the statement sent out by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board from Cheltenham Racecourse this morning:-

"Notice from Cheltenham Racecourse: Do not travel to the Cheltenham Festival if you have symptoms of a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath AND if you have been or transited through high risk countries, or been in contact with anyone that has, in last 14 days. To protect yourself & others please do not travel & call HSE 112 or 999 for expert advice. These measures are in order to safeguard everyone's health & wellbeing during the current public health situation."
