John McConnell is looking forward to having 'three to five' runners at next week's Cheltenham festival as the trainer's Bardenstown Lad being his shortest-priced runner, at 14/1, in the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle.

Bardenstown Lad has already won four of five hurdle outings and has already won at Cheltenham last October.

McConnell reports “we should have three to five going over. Mahler Mission and Bardenstown Lad in the Albert Bartlett. Go Another One in the Pertemps and maybe Innatendue, who is in the mares novice and the Triumph, she might run.

“Streets Of Doyen ran a big race (finishing third) for us on Saturday in the Flyingbolt Chase which was obviously way too short for him. He might go for the National Hunt Chase but the ground will dictate where he goes really.

“They are all in good nick.”
