The Model Kingdom is likely to run in the mares' novice hurdle at Cheltenham in 11 days time, with her trainer Noel Meade favouring that option over her other entry in the County Hurdle.

Already the winner of five races and runner-up to Impaire Et Passe in the Grade 2 Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle at Punchestown in January, the six year old is now likely to revert to her own sex at Cheltenham.

Meade says “The Model Kingdom will probably run in the mares' (novices') hurdle, that's the plan.

"I think she will get to the last going well - whether she gets from the last to the line, I don't know. She's in good form and I think it is well worth taking a chance."
