He ran last Friday here and we thought he should have been winning it. He should have been more than capable for tonight. Colin was looking for the ride on him and available, so we put him on. It is not often you get a man of his calibre. He has done it well, but he keeps a bit for himself. He was down with Dick Donohoe, and he was on a break for a while. We gave him a couple of weeks off and just brought him back (last week). If he is claimed, that is the nature of the game.

having a horse to go fast in front suits him and the race set up ideally for him although Nicola rode a perfect race. She didn’t go chasing the leader too mad and knew what to do. As soon as she got Autocrat in the ‘mirrors’ of the leader, he was always going to win and he stays well and is a strong stayer over that trip. Nicola is an outstanding talent, she looks the real business and hopefully now she stays lucky. He is a grand horse who has won five times around here.

She (Burns) is very good, she picked a lovely position and she has a lot of talent. She's great value and I think she has lost the 10lb (claim). She is still very good value. She kept him rolling in the final furlong, she was in the right place everywhere there. Great to see someone like her coming through. I don't think he is that easy a ride insofar as he can be behind the bridle, but he travelled sweetly there today. I thought he mightn't over that trip. Delighted for the owner too, he put his hand up and claimed him here out of a claimer a month or so ago.

They have him in a good place and he was back down into a grade where he is nice and comfortable. Down in grade, he was comfortable everywhere. He didn't run badly the last day, they went very fast early on and he was on top of his head but he came home well. I'd like to hold onto him for a little while anyway. I'll leave it up the owners and see what they want to do.
