He is a super horse - 14 years of age, and leaving the parade ring has bucked all the way to the start. He is just a stalwart around the place; I leave the door open in his stable and he walks around the yard and is the foreman and the boss! He comes back in when he is hungry and the less you do with him the better, because it keeps him fresh and well. That ground, this track and trip is key to him and he has done it well in the end. There is a 0-116 here in two weeks time and that's where he'll go. He owes us nothing and is the reason I started training, so to stumble on a nice horse as your first horse is great. I have eight in training at the moment.
Brian M McMahon
it's special because he was my dad's horse and his anniversary was last Saturday - he's dead two years now. He’s the first horse I had and was also his first horse. We're a long time waiting for today and it's very special to be honest. he’s always been a favourite of mine - his last two runs weren't great and I was half thinking he might have had enough but we'll be putting retirement on ice for a while after that!. The ground is probably key to him and a galloping track. If Noel (O’Brien, handicapper) isn't too hard on him he might go in again while the ground is like that.
Brian M McMahon
He had a few runs in point-to-points, but they were spread out over a long time. His jumping has improved. He's getting lower and is a bit slicker. He'll maybe have one more run before we give him a break. Really two miles on heavy ground is his ticket.
Mark Michael McNiff
