Murtagh in form at Gowran
Johnny Murtagh was continuing his good run when winning on the impressive Masterofthehorse trained by Aidan O'Brien for owners Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith and Mrs John Magnier. Tue 05th Aug
I don't know what happened to him at Cork the last day when he seemed to spit the dummy out! One of his owners has a theory he doesn't travel well but he got things together today. he is bred to stay, is better going left-handed and was entitled to win this on his Flat rating. His owners have been very patient with him in recent times.
Mrs John Harrington
Jessica is on the way back on the ferry after getting stuck at Bristol airport. She was over selling Summit Meeting at the Cheltenham sale and thankfully he didn't sell and is coming back to us. In the end this fellow did it well. He is tough, he was gelded last year and that certainly changed his attitude. He is not well handicapped with a mark of 105 and as he has been schooled over hurdles that could be his job in the future.
Mrs John Harrington
The ground is the key to the horse and he is crying out for a mile and a half. I was afraid to look at the calendar to see where he would go until he won his maiden, it was very important that he did that. Fran said that he has grown up so much from last year. (EM)
Mrs John Harrington
