Flower Of May 'does well' with Naas win
Trainer Darren Bunyan has black-type aspirations for his Flower Of May following the filly’s win in the Hospitality At Naas Racecourse Maiden at Naas today. Wed 26th Jul
In fairness to her, the last day I think it was reported that the saddle slipped but it never moved. I think what happened was she had a stalls blanket on and the number cloths they give you now are nearly as big as beach towels. I think when they pulled the blanket the cloth went back on her and gave her a fright because the saddle never moved. It was a one-off and thankfully she's won today. She's a half-sister to Steps and Mr Cohen likes to breed out of them, so she will be a nice filly for the paddocks. It's nice to win a Curragh maiden and we might try and win another with her.
