Arvika Ligeonniere is one of 12 horses still in contention for the BetVictor Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham on Wednesday.

The Willie Mullins-trained nine-year-old secured his third victory from four starts this season in the Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown last month.

Henry de Bromhead has Festival favourite Sizing Europe and Special Tiara engaged.

Sizing Europe won the Arkle in 2010 and the Champion Chase 12 months later and has filled the runner-up spot in the last two renewals of the two-mile championship.

Last year's Arkle runner-up Baily Green could represent Mouse Morris.

The Irish party is completed by Tony Martin's Benefficient, although he appears more likely to take in the longer Ryanair Chase on Thursday.

Hot favourite Sire De Grugy heads the home team for Gary Moore, and although Nicky Henderson is without reigning champion Sprinter Sacre, he can still call upon Captain Conan and Kid Cassidy, who beat Sire De Grugy at Cheltenham in November.

The dozen entries are completed by Hinterland, Module, Somersby and Wishfull Thinking.
