Bold Optimist out for season

Trainer Gordon Elliott has stated that his promising Leopardstown Christmas bumper winner Bold Optimist will miss the rest of the season having suffered a setback.

The five year old son of Oscar was reported by Elliott to have had “a little setback and he will not be ready for Cheltenham. He is only a baby and it could be the best thing that could happen for him. He’ll be back early next season and is a horse to look forward to going hurdling.”
