Bright start to Cheltenham

It is a bright and sunny morning in Cheltenham ahead of the opening day of the Festival.

There was no snow overnight, but it remains bitterly cold and the advice to anyone travelling to the course today is to wrap up warm.

The official going is soft and there are no reported non-runners.

The frost covers will take most of this morning to be removed from the track so it will be around midday before we have any further information on the going.
