Crus Cheltenham target still undecided

Cheltenham Festival options remain undecided for Kempton's impressive William Hill Feltham Novices' Chase winner Grands Crus.

Trainer David Pipe and connections will take their time over whether to run him in the RSA Chase - for which he is a short-priced favourite - or step up to take on the established stars like Kauto Star and Long Run in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Pipe told At The Races: "We will look at everything. Nothing has changed and won't for a long time.

"He will have lots of entries so we will see how he is and how all the others are as well."

Grands Crus looks set for one more run prior to March and once again, no firm plans have been made.

"The Argento Chase at Cheltenham at the end of the month is a possible but nothing is decided," Pipe added.

"But there is also the Aon Chase at Newbury and all the good novice chases."

Pipe feels that the seven-year-old is starting to mature and that is helping him to settle better in his races.

"He was probably too keen last season and that is something we have worked on," he revealed.

"Gerry Supple has done a great job with him at home. He is a year older now and seems to be going the right way."
