Jim Culloty has admitted doubts about Lord Windermere's stamina before he lines up in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham tomorrow.
The Oscar gelding ran a cracker last time when just touched off in third in a bunch finish to the Grade 1 PJ Moriarty Chase at Leopardstown.
That was over 2m5f and Culloty admits while connections feel he will stay further he has yet to prove it.
“It's dead old ground here. He hasn't run over further than 2m5f. We all say that he'll be better over three miles but he's not actually proven it so I'm a little concerned,” said Culloty on the Morning Line.
“The RSA Chase – it's generally a dour stayer that wins it and the key is if he gets the trip.
“He's proven on soft ground and touch wood he jumps exceptionally well. I think he'll handle the undulating course and the big occasion. Everything is right if he gets the trip.”
Lord Windermere is generally a 12/1 shot for the RSA Chase.
