Fitzgerald Keen On Chomba Chance

Mick Fitzgerald has nominated Chomba Womba as his best chance of a winner at the Cheltenham Festival.

Fitzgerald, who is a best-priced 12-1 chance to be crowned top jockey over the four days, has ridden Nicky Henderson´s mare to all three of her victories this season.

The seven-year-old is widely available at 7-2 for the inaugural David Nicholson Mares Hurdle, in which Fitzgerald expects her to take a power of beating.

"Chomba Womba is my best chance going into the meeting and she has all the right attributes," he said.

"I love this filly, she´s everything that a racehorse should be. She´s extremely tough, she jumps very, very well and she´s honest. Every time I ride her I like her more.

"She just gives you everything and that´s all you can ask for. She´s won on heavy and won on quick ground up at Doncaster over two miles," he told At The Races.
