The Weatherbys Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival has attracted 63 entries with Irish maestro Willie Mullins responsible for five of them. »Click here for Entries
Mullins has taken the contest on five occasions since it's inaugural running in 1992 and all his quintet will go there having won their only start under rules to date.
Ballytrim, Equus Maximus, Shady Willow, Irish Invader and Fred's Benefit could all take their chance for the Co Carlow handler and all bar the latter worked after racing at Leopardstown on Sunday
In total there are 24 entries from the Emerald Isle with the likes of Edward O'Grady (Clopf and Jack Ingham) and Pat Flynn (Flowonlovelyriver) both represented who have won the prize before.
The home defence is spearheaded by Paul Nicholls' Kicks For Free who has two effortless victories to his name, Wichita Lineman who scored at Newbury on Saturday for Jonjo O'Neill and Philip Hobbs' Leading Contender, also unbeaten.
Mark Pitman, who saddled 50-1 winner Monsignor in 1999, the longest priced winner of the race, could be represented by Nightfly who runs in the same Malcolm Denmark colours.
