Ruby back amongst the winners

Ruby Walsh who had suffered a disappointing afternoon, got back amongst the winners, when the well backed Sanctuaire, landed a hefty public gamble, when he routed his rivals in the Fred Winter Hurdle.

The four year looked a winner a long way from home and as soon as he was asked to, the son of Kendor picked up and quickly settled the issue before the last and was value for the nine length winning margin over Notus de La Tour, with Qrsippus, back in third.

Son Amix finished best of the Irish trained contingent back in fourth.
