Uimhiraceathair shines in Leopardstown schooling

The Willie Mullins' trained Uimhiraceathair impressed in a schooling session over fences after racing at Leopardstown this evening.

The gelding, unbeaten in two chase starts this season, jumped a circuit of the track in company with four stablemates that included Hennessy Gold Cup runner-up Cooldine.

Uimhiraceathair, partnered by Ruby Walsh, jumped particularly well and cruised alongside Cooldine towards the end of the schooling session and is undoubtedly in rude health.

The son of Old Vic holds entries for three races at the Cheltenham Festival including the four mile amateur riders contest, but his most likely target must now be the RSA Chase.

Dessie Hughes' Rare Bob also looked happy with himself when doing a circuit of the course. Rare Bob remains a possible for the Ryanair Chase.

Quevega was given a pipe-opener in her bid for a repeat win in the Mares' Race at the festival when completing a circuit on the flat in the company of Black Harry and and Champion Bumper contender Lios A Choill. All three finished virtually in a line as they passed the post.

Mikael D'Haguenet fiddled several fences in the hands of Ruby Walsh in a seperate school to Uimhireacthair, but the lack of a strong racing pace may have contributed to his minor errors. Willie Mullins reported that he has yet to make a decision regarding Mikael D'Haguenet participation at Cheltenham.
