Cheltenham goes ahead

Cheltenham got the go ahead after an inspection this morning but the first race has been put back to 2.05pm.

There will be a further inspection of the cross country course at 2.15pm with action due there at 5.45pm.

An inspection had been called for 10.30am after the track was found to be frozen in a few places first thing this morning after a wind chill of -12C overnight.

Officials gave the go ahead a few minutes before the scheduled inspection, however, and the frost covers are starting to be lifted at Prestbury Park.
