Envoi Allen to possibly switch to Supreme

Gordon Elliott is now leaning towards running his star novice hurdler Envoi Allen in the Supreme Novices Hurdle on Tuesday at Cheltenham rather than the following day's Ballymore Novices Hurdle.
Envoi Allen, regarded by many to be the Irish banker at next week's Festival, was a hot favourite in antepost markets for Wednesday's two miles five furlongs contest but with the ground softening at Cheltenham Elliott is now favouring a switch to the curtain raiser on Tuesday over the minimum trip of two miles but will not make a final decision until he arrives at the course on Saturday evening.
Tuesday's Supreme Novice Hurdle is shaping up to be a very hot contest with the Joe Donnelley owned pair of Shishkin and Asterion Forlonge both on target to appear along with another Elliott trained contender Abacadabras and Colin Tizzard's Fiddlerontheroof.
Final declarations for the Skybet Supreme Novices Hurdle will be known on Sunday morning.
