Hughes outlines Cheltenham plan for trio

Dessie Hughes reports Schindlers Hunt to be on target for another crack at the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham next month.

The 10-year-old was third to Imperial Commander in the two miles and five furlongs feature last season, having finished fourth to Master Minded in the Queen Mother Champion Chase 12 months earlier.

Although Schindlers Hunt has not won for more than a year, he has put up several other creditable performances including when third to Joncol in the Irish Hennessy at Leopardstown on his latest start.

"Schindlers Hunt will go for the Ryanair again. It was a good run last time and he's been very good since," said the County Kildare trainer.

Stablemate In Compliance was fifth in the Hennessy over three miles and Hughes is looking to run the former Michael O'Brien inmate over a shorter distance at Cheltenham.

And the trainer also has the William Hill Trophy Handicap Chase over an extended three miles in mind for Siegemaster.

"I've got two horses I might run in handicaps at Cheltenham," Hughes added.

"In Compliance could go for the two-mile-five handicap and I'll probably run Siegemaster in the three-miler."
