- Inca Set For Leopardstown Spin
Inca Set For Leopardstown Spin
Ante-post favourite Brave Inca will complete his Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle preparations with a gallop at Leopardstown tomorrow.
Trainer Colm Murphy chose to stick with tradition and decided to bypass the traditional pre-Cheltenham warm-up at the track on Sunday in favour of working a day later.
Murphy had to supervise his runner at Clonmel and given that he usually rides his stable star himself, the County Wexford handler was not keen to break the pattern.
'I normally ride Brave Inca myself at home and I had to go to Clonmel races instead,' explained Murphy.
'I could have sent someone in my place but I decided I would work Brace Inca tomorrow so as not to break the sequence which I've followed with such success.
'Brave Inca is in great form at the moment and, all being well, I'll ride him at Leopardstown tomorrow.'
