Emmet Mullins has reported Noble Yeats to be in great order ahead of a crack at the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase next month.
Last season's Aintree Grand National hero has posted victories during this campaign in a chase at Wexford and in a Grade 2 at Aintree before staying on in third in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last month.
After Ruby Walsh put Noble Yeats up as his ante post Gold Cup tip, Mullins told Racing TV: "Fingers crossed (on track for Gold Cup) - some people got a bit of value, the rest of us are scrounging around now I'd say! He (Walsh) let the cat out of the bag a bit early!
"He's in great order and fingers crossed we just can get a clean run with him for the last few weeks in the lead up. He should give a good account of himself."
When asked if he would get an away day into charge, Mullins replied: "I'm not sure - we've started working him already and he's had a few schools, so he'll tell us what he needs closer to the race. Fingers crossed we can get him there in good form.
"I'll have four or five runners (at the Cheltenham Festival) hopefully, so it will be my biggest team I've ever attempted to bring over. Fingers crossed I think they all have nice chances."
Noble Yeats is a general 7/1 chance for the Gold Cup behind the ante post favourite Galopin Des Champs.
