Trainer and jockey both insist no decision has been taken over the running plans for Dynaste at the Cheltenham Festival.
The popular grey has been ante-post favourite for the three-mile RSA for most of the season and proved his stamina with a devastating display in the Feltham Novices' Chase at Kempton on St Stephen's Day on his most recent racecourse appearance.
However, the alternative target of the Jewson over three and a half furlongs shorter 24 hours after the RSA remains under consideration.
Jockey Tom Scudmore diplomatically sat on the fence when asked on At The Races if connections were leaning one way ahead of the other.
"At this stage, the going can change very quickly if a bit of rain arrives so it makes sense to keep options open," he said.
"Whatever he he runs in, he'll be hard to beat and he'll be my best ride at the Festival."
In harmony, David Pipe tweeted: "Despite speculation to the contrary, there has still been no decision made about Dynaste's target @CheltenhamRaces."
