Push Ready To Return

Don't Push It is set to return to action next month as connections eye a run at the Cheltenham Festival.

Jonjo O'Neill's smart chaser won a valuable Listed hurdle at Chepstow on his only start this term but subsequently suffered a minor setback that has kept him off the track since.

However, the eight-year-old is now back in full work and his Festival target will be decided after he has enjoyed a prep run.

'He's fine, hopefully he'll have a run in the middle of February,' said Frank Berry, racing manager to owner JP McManus.

'I don't know where it will be or what it will be in, but hopefully we can get him out there somewhere.

'The form of his win over hurdles has worked out well which is nice.

'It wasn't a serious problem which kept him out of the Paddy Power but it held him up for about a month or so.

'He's back working away now though and, touch wood, everything is going according to plan.

'Hopefully we can find a race for him over two miles.

'Which race we aim for at Cheltenham is still a bit up in the air. He's got entries in the Queen Mother and the Ryanair and he will also be in a few handicaps there as well.

'We'll see nearer the time but he is going the right way at the minute.

'He's probably high enough in the weights but that's what tends to happen to high-class novices.'

Don't Push It is available at 33-1 for the Champion Chase and 14-1 for the Ryanair Chase.
