Rock Won´t Roll At Cheltenham

Perce Rock is likely to make a Festival appearance ? although Cheltenham is almost certainly off the agenda.

The six-year-old put two falls behind him when winning at Leopardstown on Sunday but is very unlikely to take his chance in the Irish Independent Arkle Challenge Trophy so soon afterwards.

Fozzy Stack, son and assistant to trainer Tommy, said: "It was nice to see him get round again and he´s not a bad jumper at all, he´d just been unlucky a couple of times before.

"The last day he probably just didn´t get the trip, and fell because he was tired, and the time before that he just tipped up after a mistake.

"He´ll probably not go to Cheltenham now as it´s just a bit too close. He was also put in the County Hurdle but that was only an option in case something silly happened.

"There´s a two-mile Grade Three race at Fairyhouse over Easter that we´re looking at and then there´s possibly Aintree and Punchestown too.

"Cheltenham won´t be on the agenda but I´m sure we´ll meet the better ones somewhere along the line."
